1°maggio a marrakech

Viste le temperature già + che estive (siamo ormai a 35° e più...) a Marrakech il primo di maggio la scampagnata l'abbiamo fatta al parco acquatico Oasiria.

Since in Marrakech we've got already summer weather (35° and more...), for the first of May we went to an acquatic park, Oasiria.

Scivoli, piscine, sole....ahhhh che vita!
Slides, pools, sun....wonderfull!!!

Allora, ancora non siamo sicuri nemmeno se sia maschio o femmina...ma è così carinooooooo!

TEMPESTA!!!!!

Sì, ok, fa già caldo, ma non è che c'è sempre sempre il sole...due o tre volte all'anno piove anche!!!
Ma non c'è problema, anche i vicini (dei senzatetto che vivono con un sacco di cani e un asino nel campo sotto casa nostra) si attrezzano per non bagnarsi, e per non bagnare l'asino!!!!

Yes, right, it's already summer time in Marrakech, but it's not always sunny...two or three times a year it's also raining!!!
But, no problem, even the neighbours (few homeless that are living with dogs and a donkey in the field next to our place) are well organized for the rain. even the donkey is kept dry!!!!

Poi ogni tanto il cielo si annuvola, arriva un gran vento improvviso e per mezz'ora c'è una vera e propria tempesta di sabbia!

Then once in a while sun is going away, a sudden wind arrives and for half an hour there is a real sand storm!

Non è così grave se si è dentro casa...peccato che poi bisogna spazzare tutti i terrazzi...guardate un po' cosa succede dopo solo mezz'ora di tempesta!!!!

It's not a problem if you're at home...you just have to clean again all the balconies, because in few minutes...look what happens!!!!

E' arrivata l'estate!

Qui a Marrakech ci sono già 30°...sandali, canottiera...che bello!!!!

Solo che siamo solo a marzo...non voglio immaginare cosa sarà fra qualche mese!!!!

BIRTHDAYS!!!!

Breve ritorno in Italia, giusto il tempo di rivedere un po' di amici (non tutti purtroppo, ma il tempo era poco...) e di festeggiare qualche compleanno in arretrato (...tra cui il mio!!!)

Andiamo per ordine...

What to do in Marrakech?
Let's start from the beginning...

1. svegliarsi all'alba con l'appello alla preghiera del muezzin e poi, visto che ormai siete svegli, fare un paio di foto al sole che sorge prima di rimettervi a nanna...

1. get up at dawn woken up by the muezzin doing the prayer call. Then take a couple of pictures of the rising sun before to go back to bed...
2. Cercare di comunicare con il venditore di noccioline che non parla una parola di francese...anzi forse un paio...come noi di arabo d'altronde! (ma ci stiamo lavorando...)

2. Try to communicate with the peanuts seller, who doesn't speak a word of french...well, maybe one or two...like us in arab anyway! (but we're working on it...)

3. Comprare un gioiello berbero o un tappeto...evitando di farsi vendere 4 collane, 6 braccialetti, 3 sciarpe e 4 tappeti...e soprattutto cercando di arrivare ad un prezzo accettabile dopo mezz'ora di contrattazione e due bicchieri di tè alla menta...

3. Buy a berber jewel or a carpet...trying to avoid to go home with 4 necklaces, 6 bracelets, 3 scarves and a 4 carpets...and, more important, trying to get a right price, after half an hour of negotiations and 2 glasses of mint tea...

4. Per rifarsi da tutte queste fatiche ci si può poi offrire un servizio completo all'hammam! Bagno di vapore, gommage al sapone nero, maschera per il corpo alle alghe e infine...un super massaggio rilassante!!!!!

4. if you fill a litlle tired after all this work...you can go to the hammam! Steam bath, body scrub with black soap, body mask with seaweeds and finally...a wonderfull relaxing massage!!!!!

5. Ecco per ben concludere direi che non rimane che fermarsi a mangiare un bel tajine fumante al pollo, carne, verdure...come volete, ma con tante spezie ed erbette profumate!

5. Well, at the end I think you just need to stop and savour a tajine. with chiken, beef, vegetables...whatever you want, but with a lot of flavouring spices!
